Heart of the Colony
Alone and in a foreign new land, the colony could begin to heal, but their ruler had already perished. The bee hive I keep with my wife was moved to a new location back in June and from what we could tell the hive seemed much better off in the new location. There was moreโฆ
The Slippery Slope of Slow Pacing.
In the dark theater and smelling of butter, I sat watching The Amazing Spider Man 2 with my wife. The movie was fine as Fox Spiderman films go neither horrible nor the next big thing. As one of the characters was once again in mortal danger, my wife leaned over to me and asked me,โฆ
There and Back Again
There hasn’t been anything new here for a while and I’ve surely forgotten how to use some of the functions and features on WordPress, but I needed to take a bit of break from blogging weekly while I was writing my last novel. I’ve finished my 4th manuscript now and am immensely proud of it.โฆ
No Sleep When There are Bees to Keep

Beans that are hard, dry, and inedible are the sorts of beans I’m referring to. There is a process to makingโฆ
What’s at the End?
There is nothing like closing a great book when you’ve finished it. The sense of accomplishment is profound to me. When an ending is great it makes a book even better. They are the final words that the author has for the reader. They should mean something to the story, the author, or the reader,โฆ
Harry Potter and What I Missed as a Child
When I was much much younger, Harry Potter was the possibly the most influential book of my life. Not that it influenced me, but that it influenced and inspired so many. I was raised in a very conservative Christian home and Harry Potter was not something that my mother would ever let pass through theโฆ
Where the book ends
I finished my third manuscript yesterday. It was my most ambitious book that I’ve written. More POV characters, a more involved story, and more depth to the lore that I’ve had in anything previous. It is by no means complete, but I’ve given myself a good place to begin and shape a better book outโฆ
